Seventy2 Capital is proud to sponsor Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School and their Corporate Work Study Program. Don Bosco Cristo Rey provides a college preparatory education to economically disadvantaged students in Takoma Park, Maryland. Through the Corporate Work Study Program, students earn 60% of their high school tuition through working one day a week at a corporate partner’s office. In return, corporate members commit to acting as a professional mentor for their students, supervising their student worker, and providing feedback on their performance semi-annually. As part of the Work Study Program, Seventy2 Capital has welcomed a high school junior as an intern and is furthering his education in financial investing. When asked about his experience at Seventy2 Capital, he noted that working in a real-world office environment has given him a head-start to lessons in management and organizational skills that not many high school students get to experience.
