As an Executive Director and Financial Advisor at Seventy2 Capital, Alex Eljdid is committed to helping individuals, families, professionals, retirees, and business owners solve their financial challenges and accomplish their goals. Alex and his team, the McCarthy Eljdid Private Wealth Group of Seventy2 Capital Wealth Management, enjoy working with clients who understand that achieving true financial success goes beyond just tracking investment performance on their statements. For him, it’s about helping clients create plans that enable them to live their best life possible. Seeing his clients’ wealth plans come to fruition gives Alex deep satisfaction knowing that he helps his clients solve one of the most important aspects of their lives.
Prior to joining Seventy2 Capital, Alex spent ten years as a Managing Director-Investments at Wells Fargo Advisors and four years as a Financial Advisor at Edwards Jones. In 2017, he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and in 2025, he earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® certification. He also takes pride in being named to the Wells Fargo Advisors Platinum Council in 2021 through 2024. Throughout his career, Alex developed a personalized approach to bringing all pieces of his client’s financial life together. His process starts by asking questions and actively listening to understand their circumstances. Then, he develops a written investment plan that acts as a roadmap for financial decision-making. From there, he moves forward with implementing the agreed-upon investment strategies. As life changes, Alex works with his clients to update plans, so they stay on track and work toward achieving their goals.
Alex has an interesting background, having been born in the financial capital of the world, Manhattan, and raised in the suburbs of Sussex County, New Jersey. Growing up, his parents commuted for over two hours each day and worked hard so that he and his siblings could have the luxury of growing up with fresh air and space. Seeing them work hard yet struggle with finances, Alex came to understand that it takes more than just hard work to achieve financial success. This led him to Niagara University, where he developed discipline through the Army ROTC program and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. Alex’s upbringing and education have shaped his approach to investment planning and have motivated him to help others achieve financial success. Alex now lives in Wall Township, NJ, with his wife, Kay, and two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, visiting craft breweries, watching football, and cycling.
