Jim McCarthy is the Senior Managing Director of Seventy2 Capital’s Red Bank office. Additionally, as a Financial Advisor with more than 27 years of experience, Jim McCarthy helps guide his clients toward financial independence, enabling them to focus on their lives and the people who matter most to them. His team helps a select group of high-net-worth individual clients, their families, businesses, and foundations to build, manage, preserve, and transition wealth. From 2018 to 2024, Jim has been listed by Forbes as one of the Best-in-State Wealth Advisors* and from 2005 to 2024 has been recognized each year as a Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network Platinum Council member (formerly Premier Advisor).**

 

Prior to joining Seventy2 Capital in 2024, Jim was with Wells Fargo Advisors and predecessor firms for twenty-three years. Jim is a graduate of Villanova University in Pennsylvania, where he played baseball for four years and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as a finance major. He believes in the value of ongoing education and has subsequently worked to become a Certified Retirement Counselor® and a Certified Investment Management Analyst®.

 

He currently lives by the Jersey shore in the town of Spring Lake Heights with his wife, Michele, and their four children, Emily, James, Kaylin, and Julia. Away from the office, Jim has given back to his community by serving on the Spring Lake Heights Elementary School Board of Education for more than a decade. During that time, he has also enjoyed coaching his children’s traveling soccer teams. When they have the opportunity, Jim and his family like traveling to their vacation home in Naples, and Jim loves getting a round of golf in at Spring Lake Golf Club.
