Mid-Year Update from our CEO

Mid-Year Update from our CEO

Hi team,

I wanted to take a quick moment to share highlights of the first half of the year.  Much has been accomplished and I want to thank each of you for your contribution for our progress.

We continued to grow in 2026, expanding our footprint in existing markets and opening new offices in Virginia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Texas. With that growth, we’ve added nearly $3 billion in assets under management and 19 team members as of July 23, 2026. We are thrilled to welcome so many talented, dedicated advisors and staff to our team, enabling us to spread our “can do, will do” attitude to assist even more clients.  In recognition of our growth, dedication to clients, and practices, we have moved up in several industry-wide award lists. Additionally, we have found new ways to give back to the communities in which we do business.

New Team Members

Matt Lane

In February Seventy2 Capital expanded into Westfield, New Jersey in February when Matt Lane joined the practice as a Senior Vice President & Financial Advisor. Matt focuses on building a portfolio of stocks and bonds using individual securities with a focus on tax efficiency for his clients. He works mostly with high-net-worth individuals who are older, established professionals or retired. Matt’s biggest priority for his clients is estate planning as they approach retirement.

Dean Dagnoli

In March, Seventy2 Capital opened an office in Springfield, Massachusetts with the addition of Dean Dagnoli, Executive Vice President & Financial Advisor. Dean takes a holistic and client-centered approach, focusing on long-term goals. He strives to make long-lasting relationships with his clients and manage complex financial lives with an emphasis on risk management and estate planning strategies. Dean works closely with business owners, retirees, and high-net-worth individuals.

Chris Kelly (Executive Vice President & Financial Advisor) and Bret Schertz (Senior Vice President & Financial Advisor)  joined Seventy2 Capital’s Hunt Valley, MD office in May. The decision to join Seventy2 Capital was driven by a shared goal: to elevate the level of service and care they provide to clients. The move enabled Chris and Bret to maintain the robust resources and institutional capabilities their clients have come to expect, while gaining the flexibility and independence needed to deliver more personalized, responsive, and forward-thinking advice. With fewer constraints, they are better positioned to tailor strategies and adapt quickly to the evolving needs of the families and businesses they serve.

The Appling & Landerholm Private Wealth Group

Kyle Appling (Executive Vice President & Financial Advisor) and Emily Landerholm (Senior Vice President & Financial Advisor) joined Seventy2 Capital in May, opening a new office in Southlake, Texas. Together, they serve ultra-high-net-worth clients, business owners, pre-retirees, and retirees, all with a local, family-office feel.
